Osama Bin Laden, the founder and leader of the terrorist group Al-Qaeda, was killed in Pakistan on May 2, 2011, shortly after 1:00 am PKT by United States Navy SEALs of the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Development Group (also known as DEVGRU or SEAL Team Six).
The operation, code-named Operation Neptune Spear, was carried out in a CIA-led operation with Joint Special Operations Command, commonly known as JSOC, coordinating the Special Mission Units involved in the raid. In addition to SEAL Team Six, participating units under JSOC included the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) also known as "Night Stalkers" and operators from the CIA's Special Activities Division.
The whole world including pakistani public were suprised when Laden was killed in Pakistan because the world media especially the western media has maintained that he was living in some cave in Afghanistan breaking bread with his comrades and planning attack on America and western allies. The Pakistan and ISI maintained that it was INTELLIGENCE FAILURE on their part that is why they were unable to detect Osama Bin Laden. The world community and even pakistani public did not believe in this statement.
This does not come as surprise to indian intelligence RAW because 10 years before the killing of Osama Bin Laden a retired officer of RAW B. Raman has said that RAW knows that Laden is in Pakistan near a military complex and periodically undergoes dialysis in Pakistan military hospital under the supervision of ISI as he is suffering from renal failure. RAW even passed this information to CIA.

In 2005 Afghan intelligence chief Amrullah Saleh himself said that Laden is not hiding in Afghanistan but in Pakistan at or near Khyber Pakhtunkhwa area which proved to be correct.
Again in 2005, CIA Chief Porter Goss in an interview to TIME magazine said that they have excellent idea where Laden is. The magazine asked Goss when bin Laden would be captured.
"That is a question that goes far deeper than you know," he said. "In the chain that you need to successfully wrap up the war on terror, we have some weak links. And I find that until we strengthen all the links, we're probably not going to be able to bring Mr. bin Laden to justice. We are making very good progress on it. But when you go to the very difficult question of dealing with sanctuaries in sovereign states, you're dealing with a problem of our sense of international obligation, fair play. We have to find a way to work in a conventional world in unconventional ways that are acceptable to the international community". Asked whether that meant he knew where bin Laden is, Goss responded: "I have an excellent idea where he is. What's the next question?"
Goss did not say where he thinks bin Laden is, nor did he name the country or countries he was referring to when he spoke of sanctuaries but he was clearly referring to Pakistan.
The real reason for delaying Laden's Hunt was OBAMA'S ELECTION CAMPAIGN which was starting from 2012 so Laden was hunted one year before Obama's election campaign started. Obama's economic policies has not yielded much result so he wanted to show SURGICAL STRIKE ON LADEN's HIDEOUT in his election manifesto to attract voters. Same technique was used by TRUMP and killed Baghdadi one year before American elections when TRUMP'S ELECTION CAMPAIGN is going to start. According to RAW officials CIA has good knowledge where all jihadis are hiding in Pakistan like Ayman Al Zawahiri and can smoke them out whenever they want. RAW itself has provided intelligence on Ayman Al Zawahiri's presence in Pakistan to CIA.
Retired ISI Chief Asad Durrani himself has said that America conducted SURGICAL STRIKE ON LADEN with help of Pakistani Army. General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani authorized this attack with approval of his core commanders. According to Durrani jihadis are like GOATS to ISI and they are ready to sacrifice these JIHADI GOATS for their strategic objectives and for money. After the killing of Laden, General Kayani went to hiding as he feared for his life from jihadi organization who wanted to avenge Laden's death.
The reality is that American govt can kill jihadis like Ayman Al Zawahiri and taliban leaders anytime they want they killed Laden only when he was out of business. As the saying goes "There is no profit in stopping the war but in continuing the war".
